ENGINEERING through my eyes

Please come join me on a trip to the fascinating world of Engineering and Science!

I am a regular engineer who obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering more specifically). You may think I am smart. I am probably smart, at least more than a newborn baby! Well, I consider myself a regular person with regular needs and regular problems, oh yeah! a lot of problems. And that's why I love Engineering. It allows you to think, think, think and eventually click on your brain so you can solve the puzzle.

Now, you may think Engineering is a lot of Mathematics and Physics, yes you may be right. However, in my opinion, Mathematics and Physics are actually for very smart people. Engineering deals more with the application of Mathematics and Physics to solve existing problems, it deals with your imagination and creativity, common sense! And that's why in Engineering 1/0 is an extremely complicated equation. It does not make sense! How can you divide a Pizza between no one if there is nobody who can cut it?

Well, let me tell you Engineering is a 100% human world science. And that's when I actually realize humans can go beyond their own expectations. For instance, a skyscraper 1 km (3280 ft) tall will be standing somewhere on earth in 2017. You can google for "kingdom tower" if you don't believe it. Now, do you think this is awesome, it is horrible, or you simply don't care? Think about it!

OK fellas! I gotta go but I'll continue this conversation later...
